It's been 1 week and 4 days since I had No Globe Signal. I should go to Alabang Town Center as the CSR told me there's available sim there but I decided to wait till I get a response from my email to their customer service. Emailing Globe's CS is my last resort and just like what I told them, hindi ko sila tatantanan ala Mike Enriquez unless they could give me specific Globe Business Center that have available sim for my old Globe Pioneer sim. I am tired of calling them by phone because not all of them could answer my queries.
Few days ago, I stumbled upon an old post (2007) from a thread and saw that someone also suffered the same fate. He suddenly lost signal. When he went to Globe Business Center he was told it can't be replaced since the sim is not physically working. He complained because his account or number is still active.
He's lucky because he knows someone from Globe, so he emailed him and voila! After only a day or two, and one email, he was told to go to SM Megamall and pick up his new sim card. He was able to get a new sim card and retain his 9 year old number.
As for me, I don't know yet if I can still retain my almost 8 year old Globe number. But I am hoping. I am Globe's loyal customer for 8 years already and I feel I don't deserve to be treated this way. The Globe personnel I spoke with in their SM Manila BC was so apathetic, kulang na lang sabihing 'care ko kung nawalan ka ng signal!" Is Globe making things impossible?
All I want is for them to treat Globe subscribers fairly. I was requesting for a specific GBC that has available sim for upgrade. I don't want to hop from one GBC to another only to find out there's no available sim for my old Pioneer sim. I will be more pissed off and disappointed if that happens.
I want to retain my old number. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

hi..were you able to retain your old number?
hi? ano na pala nangyari sa globe sim nyo? im experiencing the same problem right now. sana maayos pa.
No I wasn't able to retain my old number. Globe wasn't able to help me, at mukhang wala talaga silang planong mag retain ng loyal subscriber that's why I switched to Smart. Thanks for your comments. :)
